Hey! If you've been following me, you may have noticed that I have not been very active here. Such an observation would be correct, as I have been working on school and on other stuffs that may not ever become anything. So, I can grant no guarantees on any particularly significant increases on comics or drawings, but perhaps they still might be done. Also, I cleared several months worth of notifications and messages because I haven't been active, so if you had an urgent message that I left unanswered, then I grant to you a sincere apology (any other cases may result in apologies of varying degrees of sincerity). This has been a message from the "Yes, I am still alive" foundation.

Have a nice day.
So literally a year ago, I got tagged to do a meme and only now am I actually doing it. Punctuality is my anti-cutie mark.

1. You must post these rules.
2. Each person must post 11 things about themselves in their journal.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create eleven new questions for the people you tag to answer.
4. You have to choose 11 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
5. Go to their page and tell them you have tagged him/her.
6. No tag backs.
7. No stuff in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you are reading this." You legitimately have to tag 11 people.

Facts about Zicy:
1) My vision is positively atrocious. Without corrective lenses, objects not even at an arm's length are already out of focus.

2) I play cello and piano. Fairly well, I'd like to think; although not at the same time. Believe me, I've tried.

3) Despite loving comics and superhero stuff, I have never actually picked up and read an entire traditional superhero comic. All my knowledge of superheroes comes from Wikipedia and the cartoons.

4) I'm not much of a reader. Any books I've read have usually been for some school assignment. It's not that I'm averse to books; I just don't to go out of my way to read them, even for Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings. But I can probably guess that if I did pick them up, I wouldn't be doing anything else for the rest of the week.

5) I didn't get my driver's license until I was already in college. The irony is that I don't need to drive often at all.

6) Years of keeping my hair short as resulted in some bizarre Asian-fro whenever I grow it out.

7) Despite living in a party school town, I have drank all of three times. Maybe the first time doesn't even count since I ditched the wine after the first sip. Cider is pretty all right.

8) I'm horrible at keeping in contact with people. Mostly because I don't want to seem like a bother. Sadfaic.

9) I do love me Bubble Tea. Californians call it Boba Tea. This is silly; how can a galactic bounty hunter be a tea?

10) I do not like Plum Bubble Tea. Do not get it. It tastes like barbeque sauce. You will have a bad time.

11) I have problems with apathy. Or it only becomes a problem once I start caring.

Questions for Zicy
1)  WHAT is your name?
You'll never know!

2) WHAT is your quest?
To become a Pokemon Master!

Blue. No, wait, GREEN-

4) If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?
College fund. Bank account. Boring practical stuff.

5) What's the most awkward story you're willing to share here?
Does my life count? Although, here's one specific story: one time, in my own house, I turned around into a wall and hurt my face.

6) Favorite video game?
Why must you make me choose? The Zelda Series as a whole, I suppose. Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time, and Skyward Sword are the biggest contenders.

7) Favorite show?
WHY MUST YOU MAKE ME CHOOSE? Avatar: The Last Airbender and Fullmetal Alchemist (heck, both versions). Although, Gravity Falls is quickly rising in the list.

I do not believe I have ever met a Thing/Person before. Would that be like an Omelet/Miyamoto? Or a Pencil/Faust? What would happen if I met a Kraken/McCraig? I think I'd be a fan of Food/Friends.

9) Shorts or skirts?
I like shorts. They are comfy and easy to wear. Although, I am not responsible for what hairy-ed horrors are visible below my knees. Sad story: One time in high school, someone made a pretty neutral comment about my legs, and since then, I have worn long pants in public far more often than shorts. Or skirts. Reblog if you cry every time.

10) Do you have a personal saying/mantra?

11) What's the best kind of weather?
The kind to do nothing in.

Yeesh, so 12 hour jetlag is not fun at all, especially if you're going straight back to school as soon as you've returned.

Ah, well. Back to work, back to arts. Let's do this.
...I would like to share my thoughts with you. Ahem.

  • One week without ponies or internet is painful.

  • Catching up one week of ponies and internet is absolutely ridiculous.

  • I hate mosquitoes.

  • I am upset that I had to miss Bronycon.

  • I am upset that I had to miss Bronycon.

  • I have never been so happy to see a real toilet in my life.

  • Being illiterate sucks.

  • Fast food in Taiwan is far more novel to me than it should be.

  • I cannot wait to start drawing again.
Heading out to Taiwan. Hopefully, I'll have some free time when I'm not internshipping (that is, being an intern, not shipping interns) because 2 months is a long time to not be drawing comics.

Also, my Chinese is terrible. Fun fun fun!
what is it-
how do I-
what am I supposed to-

No seriously. What do?

Yeah, so a couple things. Someone gave me a Premium Membership subscription which is totally awesome! I barely even know what that means, but I do know that it involved throwing money at the screen and something happened! So, like, thanks to whoever it was! I really means a lot! And then Sibsy commented on one my comics! Although it's a little embarrassing that it was the one involving toilet humor, haha.

Even so, I feel either of these videos capture my reaction to these recent events:……

And though at this point it may seem like sucking up, I did intend to get around to doing this eventually. Now's a good a time as any to thank all you crazy people who have accidentally'ed the +Watch button at the top of my page, and then keep accidentally pressing the +Favorite button on my pictures. I don't respond to everyone (or when I do, it's hardly in a timely manner), but I do read all the comments that show up in my inbox and try to check out everyone's page at least once. That's a pretty big "try." I mean, the Ponysona comic alone has over a thousand faves, like- ohmigod- I can't- it's just- not possible look at everyone's galleries. Thanks to Calpain for putting that on EqD. And now I can't keep up! Also, I guess a big shout out to you guys who regularly comment and fave my stuff, even when I should be working on a comic instead of posting Chrysalis talking about butts. You guys rock.

All of you guys rock. And even though original motivation to create should come from the self, it really does help to have people enjoy your work as much as you do (or even more so). You have no idea.

Anyways, now that someone's thrown money at me, I guess it's time to step up my game and make bigger and better things. I do have a comic coming up that I kinda sacrificed quality for length, but I had fun with it, and I guess I'll have that up once I sort through my messages. Then maybe I can start working on the next comic once I finish my finals (aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh).

Until then, Zicy out.

Also, just for kicks:…
Why did I think drawing a fleet of space cruisers was a good idea.
Some of you who have been here a while may already be familiar with this, but everyone else really needs to see this. First one to get there wins a cookie.…

So, this game was quite a chock-full of surprises. It sort of bounced between "Oh, this is still freaking awesome, but not quite the SPIRAL POWER awesome that I hyped myself up for" and "HOLY CRAP ARE YOU SERIOUS THIS IS AWESOME." I suppose most of it actually has to do with not knowing how awesome it is before playing the game, and knowing exactly how awesome it is afterwards.

ANYWAYS, I haven't tried multiplayer yet because I wanted to finish the campaign first to ensure I got the skills to not-get-completely-destroyed in online play. I didn't think it would take long. I was wrong.

The solo story is totally a Shonen series put into a video game, and it is GLORIOUS. I'm not sure how the Japanese dialogue went, but I cannot heap enough praise on the localization team and voice actors for making the character dialogue and banter absolutely perfect. The characters are memorable even when they show up for a single episode and the interactions are hilarious. They get serious when the situation calls for it, but the creators knew that they were out to create a fun game, and every aspect exudes that idea. No seriously. This game has drills, lazers, mecha, aliens, and no forth wall.

There are a couple things to note though. I'm still waiting for the wiki to fully update so I can get some information of the workings of the game, since I think I'm a little terrible at it. Here's the thing: on ground battles, aiming and rotating the camera is mapped to the bottom screen. I know there's really no other way to do it, but even after completing single-player, I'm still getting used to it. I've also almost been killed by single minions starting at full health simply because I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do. Who knew you were supposed to apply thinking to an action game? Actually, in my defense, the game is positively frantic with enemies everywhere. And that, my friends, is why you don't play on Level 4 Difficulty the first time through. You miss most of the great dialogue and keep dying to booby-trapped treasure. Also, I cannot tell you how many of the later missions I've completed while in Crisis Mode (that is, with 1hp left).

But all in all, a great game and definitely worth getting. Also, I know it's only a couple days after it's release, but I'm hoping they start putting out official art soon. How am I supposed to fanart with no references?

Well, here we are with that paradox of production where you draw so much more when you're supposed to be doing something else. But suddenly, when you're on break, drawing is no longer the tool of procrastination but rather the subject from which you are procrastinating. I'm working on a simple picture of Thunderlane and Blossomforth that I wanted done on Saturday, but now it's Monday. I blame you, backgrounds! I also wanted have a comic done by the end of the week, but we'll see. And not to mention doing actual schoolwork. Why did I think I could promise Bionicle art? I have no idea what I'm doing. Then, there's all the other comics I want to do, and that meme I got half a year ago...

Thinking positively and since all the cool kids seem to be doing it, I was considering possibly doing commissions or heck, even requests. OH GOD CUE DISASTER. I am only considering it. That means it'll probably be another year before I'm like, "Okay, I will do this thing now," if ever.

So here's the main thing from this section: I don't know how many people actually read these journals entries, but for those who do, what would you think of me having a day for some quick character sketch requests, like, open up requests for 5 slots one day and then have them ready on the following day? I don't even know. I DO know that I'm not promising anything for this.

I'm just trying to get a feel for the numbers and logistics I'd have to deal with if I did do it.
Got like, ten ideas on paper in backlog, two in progress, and I'm on a Bionicle nostalgia kick. So expect, like, stuff. (Probably shouldn't.)

Derpy was a pegasus. She went -
:iconderpy-plz::iconsaysplz:"Herp" And-
:iconderpysmileplz::iconsaysplz:"Derp" And-

But when fans saw her derpy eyes, then what happened was bizarre.

Her popularity spread throughout the internet and then, she later became canon and now-

She's got a lot to say. Now she speaks.

:iconderpyclapplz::iconsaysplz:And then, canon!

Derpy Speaks. Yeah, she speaks and speaks and speaks and speaks and speaks...

:iconderpy-hooves::iconsaysplz:Are we having muffins for dinner? Am I still a mailmare?

Derpy speaks...
:iconderpyhappyplz::iconsaysplz:Rainbow, what d'ya know!
:iconmlpspikeplz::iconsaysplz:My name's not Rainbow.

She's not always right but still that Derpy speaks.

:iconderpyhappyplz::iconsaysplz:Hi there!

She's got a voice; she's ready to shout. Derpy will tell you what it's all about. Sometimes wrong, but seldom in doubt. Derpy will tell you what it's all about. She's unique...

:iconderpy-hooves::iconsaysplz:Testing, one, two!

Hear her speak! Derpy Speaks and speaks and speaks and speaks and...

:iconderpy-hooves::iconsaysplz:Communicates, enumerates, elucidates, exaggerates, indicates, and explicates, bloviates, and overstates and…

Derpy, to reiterate,
Derpy speaks!

Heading to BroNYCon tomorrow morning! Like, 4 in the morning!

Just sayin' if I don't get around to it tomorrow: Merry Christmas, everyone! And for those who don't celebrate Christmas, I still hope you have a merry time on Christmas Day!

Also, have some advice Zicy, because he's a pretty dumb guy!
Haha! Yeah, I knowingly screwed myself out of getting an A in a class! Man, I am like, the greatest student ever or something.

And finally,
I'm on the final boss, and when I get home, he's gonna get owned. By me. And not the other way around. Because Fi is a jerk and didn't say that the Skyward Strike was reactivated in phase 2 last time. Seriously, this game is amazing, and the fact that it has robot pirates should be enough of a reason to buy it. ROBOT PIRATES. AAKL:SDJLFKDJFLSD Did I mention I like gifs? I like gifs. The internet will rue the day I found out how to make animated gifs.
Meme time! And if you are a cool person, you should comment and do this! But what if you're not cool? No worries! For a limited time only, if you do this thing, you can become cool! Now, have some copy pasta!

Be one of the first 14 people commenting on this journal entry, and I will put your avatar and three deviations that I will personally select from your gallery in this "Share the Art" feature.

If you do comment, you're expected to do the same in your own journal; putting me on the first place, completing the list with 14 other people to make a sum of 15 people. (Or not. BUT THAT'S NOT HOW COOL PEOPLE ROLL.)

The idea behind this is NOT to get a free feature, but to help spread art and artists around for everyone. So why not check out the artists on other peoples' list?

Man, do I love a meme where I barely even have to do anything. Er, I mean, I am an incredibly motivated and hardworking person. (inb4 this entry just sits around for a year)

Yup. I'm writing one of these without any idea what I'm supposed to put here.

Actually, that's a lie. Not sure how many people will read this or care, but I figured I might as well use this as an opportunity to thank everyone for all the favs and whatnot, mostly due to bronies (*brohoof*). It's good to know that people like the stuff I'm putting out as much as I enjoy drawing it. And I'm being dead serious here. You are cool people. Who are cool.

And for what it's worth, I'm also glad I get to check out(/stalk/lurk) other people and their interests. Because I check everyone's stuff that comes up in my message box. EVERYONE.  STUFF. Because I have no life or something silly like that.

Apparently, Ponyhod is popular? I guess I'll see if I can't get out a couple more, since the entire point was to have something to draw during an art block. But with school finally starting up next week, that may not happen anytime soon. Or maybe it will because I won't be stuck in summer slacking anymore?

Welp, we'll see. And maybe I'll like, actually start using this account instead up just popping in to throw in a deviation.

Zicy out. Peace.
